Our Area Performance Monitoring tool component uniquely displays trends in key statistical indicators
between geographical areas and over time.
This powerful tool consists of a main report building and analysis tool that allows any user to create new or load
existing “Performance Charts”, and an administration tool for administrators to create and manage the
indicators available in the system.
There are five different data ranges, which enable performance to be compared geographically and the
data is typically categorised as one of the following:
- Excellent (Dark Green)
- Good (Light Green)
- Average (Yellow)
- Poor (Orange)
- Very Poor (Red)
The heights of the bars provide a measure the relative offset between the statistic and the benchmark (not the
actual value of the statistic). Using both the bar colour and the bar height for one statistic, you can
compare the relative performance of different geographical areas.
In addition, using our performance monitoring tool you can compare data over time and present this information on the same
chart. This enables the visualisation of how individual areas are changing over time (are they performing?!). In the above image,
these are the diamonds with lines linking these diamonds to the current performance. It is an extremely powerful data
visualisation and analytical tool as the improvements in individual areas is presented in context with the relative
performance of other geographical areas.
The system also supports several more detailed views to enable users to explore and analyse the data more comprehensively.
