DNF Demonstrator
Welcome to the Digital National Framework (DNF) demonstrator.
DNF (www.dnf.org)
is an industry standard for the integrating and sharing business and geographic information from multiple sources.
This demonstrator contains several examples of how DNF enables relationships to be generated and reused between spatial data
from different sources.
Each example is a practical, hands-on demonstration of the underlying principles of DNF.
The purpose of each example is to show that DNF:
-
Provides a common infrastructure for UK and European spatial information. DNF is an open standard and supports better
integration of data and more flexible exchange of data.
-
Principles promote improved data quality and integrity and are driven by the strategic needs of the Geographic Information
community as well as the information industry.
- Embodies "Collect once, reuse many times" resulting in cost savings through reuse of information
The mapping uses Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) technology.
